Believe in Magic ! Be the Magic

WHAT ARE YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS?
This is one question which everyone around is concerned about. From the nosy next door aunty to the HR in your interview ... everyone asks you the same question. Indeed, we take pride in telling tales about our achievements! Pompously and extravagantly so. Once we achieve something, it adds to our arsenal. We get to show everyone our proverbial kill.  The word that needs to be underlined here though is PRIDE! 
Most of us gullible rats running in the so called rat race are allured by the magic associated with the finish line. Irony lies in the fact that we run on an endless track, much like the hamster's wheel. We fail to realize that there is no MAGIC in the end.
The magic that we speak of is not at the end of a rainbow but rather the rainbow itself is full of it. Magic is not anywhere around you. Magic is you. You are the Magic.

It's an achievement when you bulk up by working out day and night,
But, it's magic when a skinny boy stands up against his mate getting bullied.
It's an achievement when drive like the wind in a Ferrari,
But, it's magic when an uncle on a rickety old bajaj offers a kid a lift in the hot sun.
It's an achievement to be able to celebrate something with a very fine Dom Perignon,
But,it's magic when four friends eat one roadside pani puri.
It's an achievement when you have earned enough to have a fancy roof over your head,
But, it's magic when you give up your umbrella just so an old lady stays covered in the rain.
It's an achievement when you have made a million friends,
But it's magic when one friend covers you when one million are against you.
It's an achievement when you get to meet your favorite reel life hero,
But, it's magic when a someone considers you their real life hero.
It's an achievement when you know a big shot businessman
But, it's magic when you know your neighbors.
It's an achievement when you have all the money in the world,
But, it's magic when you're broke and yet have a cherubic smile on the face.
It's an achievement when your the range of your vocabulary is equivalent to that of an oxford dictionary
But, it's magic when you can read the emotions displayed in the eyes.
It's an achievement when you fulfill your dreams,
But it's magic when you fulfill those of others.

We spend years leading a mechanized life running behind what someone calls an achievement in the hope of ultimately finding that magic. But little do we realize that magic cannot be found somewhere, but is within us. Post reaching a milestone, you feel a sense of pride or comfort or even probably a brief feeling of happiness. But it is only when you battle your inner demons and yet be an angel to someone else that you get the BLISS-the most powerful drug of them all.

So to see the Magic, be the Magic !
